At Bat For a Chance, we use cricket to open doors for young people around the world. Now, you can help us — at your school, in your community, and with your friends. Whether you’re a student, a parent, or a school leader, there are simple and impactful ways to get involved.
Together, we can give every child the chance to play. Let’s find the right role for you as a Friend of Bat For a Chance!

STUDENTS: CHARITY CAPTAINS
You can support BFAC by directly fundraising for us. How about organizing a charity cricket match at your school? Proceeds will go to support our global cricket-for-change work. You’ll learn skills, raise money, and have fun!
IDEAS FOR MATCHES:
- Students vs Teachers
- Parents vs Pupils
- House Teams or Year Groups
PLAN YOUR EVENT:
- Book a pitch
- Promote the match at your school
- Charge e.g. £10 entry per person
HOW WE CAN SUPPORT YOU:
- Get in touch and we can try to help provide a prize for the winning team
- We could also bring our BFAC Gazebo to your match to raise awareness and collect funds

STUDENTS: KIT CHAMPIONS
How about collecting donated kit at your school or local cricket club? Throughout the season you can spread the word about our charity, then collect pre-loved cricket kit which can be used for good causes around the UK and beyond.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Promote BFAC kit recycling
- Set up a collection points – find a place you can store any donated kit. This could be a large plastic tub with posters on, a store room or even your garage!
- Make sure any kit donated is of good quality and not broken, ripped or stained.
- Coordinate end-of-season donations – agree the date you’ll need kit donated by, then Bat for a Chance will come and collect it!
TOGETHER, WE’LL MAKE IT HAPPEN:
- We’ll share a step-by-step guide to collecting kit
- We can provide BFAC branded cardboard bins to help collect items throughout the term
- We will bring our BFAC van to your school to pick up the donated clothes and equipment
- We can provide free bat stickers to encourage people to donate!
WHY GET INVOLVED?
- You’ll get an official BFAC Certificate
- A Shout-out on our social channels
- Invites to events with our ambassadors
- A great experience to talk about in any university applications, CVs or interviews!

PARENTS: MONTHLY FRIENDS
Become one of our monthly friends and help us bring cricket — and opportunity — to more children, all year round.
WHY IT MATTERS:
As a parent, you know the power of sport to build confidence, friendships, and lifelong skills. But for thousands of children, access to cricket is still out of reach. By becoming a Friend of Bat For a Chance, you can change that.
Our monthly friends help keep the show on the road. We’re delivering kit or running coaching sessions throughout the year, and need our friends to help us reach more people than ever before.
By pledging a monthly donation, you could help us:
- Distribute 2 softball sets around the UK – £25 p/m
- Provide an assistant cricket coach to run sessions to low-income kids – £50 p/m
- Fund a complete team kit drop in the UK in unde resourced schools – £100 p/m
